INTRODUCTION

At the end of 2001, David Epton reached the stage in his motor racing career, both in terms of age and experience, when moving into single-seater racing cars became a realistic prospect.

With some racing in a Formula Ford class under his belt, Scorpio Motorsport Racing Team recruited David to be their lead driver for the Formula Renault UK Championships in 2003.

David competed in a further season in the 2004 UK Formula Renault Championship Series and is now contesting the Formula Palmer Audi Championship to establish himself firmly on the ladder towards F1.
