CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

David has raced karts since he was 14 years old with considerable success. 2001 saw him complete his apprenticeship as a kart racing driver culminating in the British Championships Formula 'A' Super One Series.

David completed the year in the Zip Formula Ford Winter Series achieving a third place finish on the podium. Scorpio Motorsport is a successful racing team that was set up several years ago to compete regularly in the Formula Renault series. In November 2002 Scorpio raced David Epton in the Formula Renault Winter Festival, and raced him as their lead driver in the Formula Renault UK Championships 2003 race season.

• Camberley Karting Club Champion, and twice winner of the Roy Mortara Trophy in the national Formula 100C class.

• Numerous wins and podium finishes in kart racing with his final 2 years competing in the UK Formula 'A' Championship series.

• Finished 3rd in the Zip Formula Ford Winter series at Brands Hatch 2001.

• First raced in Formula Renault in the 2002 Winter Festival at Donington Park and Brands Hatch when he took best heat finish in 3rd and averaged 11th overall at the end of his classified races.

• Raced with Scorpio Motorsport in the UK Formula Renault Championships of 2003 finishing 17th overall scoring 85 points. Best finishes were 11th at Donington Park, 10th at Brands Hatch, and 7th in the final round at Oulton Park.
